 Jump Start Agility Training Programme

Dog agility is a game of physical skill & control that requires communication & teamwork between the dog & handler to achieve success.

Jump Start Agility recognises that a great agility team is built on a solid foundation of flatwork skills.  Using positive training techniques and emphasizing play, we take time at the start of your agility career to build these skills.  Once this basic foundation is in place, you & your dog will be ready to start training the agility equipment and using handling techniques with greater skill & confidence.

Overlaying all this is our desire to help you build a great relationship with your dog, where YOU become the focus of your dog's attention and agility becomes the ultimate game your dog wants to play with you.

Jump Start Agility training programme is designed to help you & your dog become a successful partnership & learn to have fun together right from the start.

Our Foundation courses are suitable for all abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced handlers wishing to re-train the basics with their dog.

Many of our foundation games & handling exercises are based on the hugely successful Handling 360 system developed by world-renowned dog trainer, Susan Garrett.   We offer 1-2-1 training sessions for those wishing to learn more about using Handling 360 verbal handling system with their own dogs.

Most of our courses & group classes are run over 6 weeks, with each weekly lesson lasting 1 hour.  Places need to be booked and paid for in advance.

Our Foundation Courses are suitable for all dogs, including puppies from 6mths old. Introduction to essential flatwork skills is low-impact, with no jumping involved.

Weekly group agility classes are available for those handlers that have completed their basic foundation training and ready to progress further.

Class sizes are limited so you always receive personal attention.
